reviews: Cosa poteva uscire dall'unione di membri di gruppi quali Tempo Zero, Molto Rumore per Nulla, Rudimenti e Fichissimi? ...beh.. di certo qualcosa di importante! Infatti questi Encore Fou sono veramente qualcosa di importante ma in che campo musicale.. che territori avranno esplorato? Ragazzi teniamoci forte perchè stiamo parlando di power, screamo violence o come lo volete chiamare.... Eccezionale cosa sanno creare e distruggere in quei 20 minuti di durata del cd! Le atmosfere sono cupe, rabbiose, tormentate.. quasi richiamanti quei tanti gruppi black nordeuropei.... ma gli Encore Fou sanno unire a questo sound frequenti cambi di tempo e un qualcosa di veramente personalissimo che li rende unici! Certo non è un cd di facile ascolto e necessita di un pò di tempo per poter introdursi veramente e poter percepire completamente lo spirito, il dolore, lo strazio, la rabbia.. e tutto quello che fuoriesce da questo capolavoro! Il cantato straziato (in italiano) è qualcosa di fantastico considerando anche i testi impegnati, crudi e sconvolgenti, la batteria segna tempi molto veloci ma anche semplici e molto diretti, le chitarre invece sono in puro black metal style.. grezze e pesanti.. veramente uniche. Le tracce scorrono veloci e il nostro viaggio con Caronte presto ha termine.. ma non preoccupatevi nel nostro cuore e nella nostra mente ne rimarrà un bel segno(ricordo) indelebile. (reason to believe) This is a really intense release. Driving guitar-heavy hardcore in the vein of HELMET, GUILT or maybe THE JUDAS FACTOR but coupled with incredibly desperate, throaty shrieked vocals. There are lots of blast-beats which liven up the tempo and a real sense of drama and trauma in the way the music fuses together, meaning that on the whole this is really cold, spiralling and unpredictable. Its definitely not ‘instant’ and I’ve had to come back to this CD several times before I was comfortable that I could give it a fair review. Just as well really because I’ve timed it just right and everything is starting to take shape now and their harsh, chilling post-hardcore delivery has really engulfed me completely. I can’t tell you what the lyrics are about ‘cos they are all in Italian, but there’s apparently English translations on the website http://stop.at/encorefou so give it a look (fracture)
